    Samsung on 28 March released its new Galaxy series after the former one (Samsung Galaxy S7) was recalled last year due to it's catching fire during charging. The new Galaxy S8 and S8+ as mind blowing features. Since its production, it has not been held off that it catch fire.

    Some basic features of the new Galaxy S8 and S8+ are as follows:

    1. Design. It as splendid design with five varieties of colours that customers can choose from. These are Midnight Black, Coral Blue, Orchid Gray, Maple Gold and Arctic Silver.

    2. Dimension. S8 dimension is quite different from S8+. The S8 smartphone is 148.9×68.1×8.0mm, 155g in dimension. But S8+ is 159.5×73.4×8.1, 173g.

    3. Display. Both phones, though differ has superb display. The Galaxy S8 has 5.8" Quad HD+ Super AMOLED (2960x1440) 570 ppi. Also, the Galaxy S8+ has 6.2" Quad HD+ Super AMOLED (2960x1440) 529 ppi. However, both has a default resolution of Full HD+ which can be changed to the above in the settings.

    Additional, both smartphones has Infinity Display: a bezel-less, full-frontal, edge-to-edge screen. The screen when measured diagonally as a full rectangle without accounting for the rounded corners.

    4. Camera. The camera of both phones has the following specifications for its camera. They are, VDIS (Video Digital Image Stabilization), HDR (High Dynamic Range), Selective focus (Bokeh effect), Virtual shot, Motion photo, Filters, Stickers, Stamps, Grid line, Location tags, Timer, Quick launch and Voice control. Therefore, you may not need additional apps on the phone to do certain editing.

    Further, the front camera has 8MP AF, F1.7 Aperture, Pixel size: 1.22µm, Sensor size: 1/3.6", FOV: 80 and Wide selfie.

    The rear/ back camera, on the other hand has an amazing Dual Pixel 12MP AF, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), F1.7 Aperture, Pixel size: 1.4µm, Sensor size: 1/2.55", FOV: 77, Max Zoom: 8x (digital), Pro mode, Panorama (for capturing wide image), Slow motion, Hyperlapse, Food mode, Save as RAW file.

    5. Operating System (OS). Both has an OS of Android 7.0 Nougat.

    6. Network and Connectivity. Both has a Network of LTE Cat.16 which may differ by markets and mobile operators.
    It connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz),VHT80 MU-MIMO,1024QAM and Bluetooth v 5.0 (LE up to 2Mbps), ANT+, USB Type-C, NFC, Location (GPS, Galileo, Glonass, BeiDou).

    7. Memory. There are 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It has an external microSD of about 256GB.

    8. Water Resistant. Both Galaxy can resist water of about 1.5 meters in depth up to 30 minutes.

    9. Sensors and Button. The two brands came along with Iris Sensor, Pressure Sensor, Accelerometer, Barometer, Fingerprint Sensor, Gyro Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, Hall Sensor, HR Sensor, Proximity Sensor, RGB Light Sensor.

    The Button features of both smartphones are On/Off key, Volume key, Bixby key.

    10. Authentication and Security. Lock Type: Pattern, Pin, Password

    Biometrics Lock Type: Iris Scanner, Fingerprint Scanner, Face Recognition
    Its Security specifications includes Knox protection: Real-time device monitoring and protection, Virus, malware prevention (Powered by Intel Security)

    There is a security folder that enables apps, photos, movies, and files to be available privately using either iris scanning or fingerprint scanning.

    11. Audio Playback Format. These are, MP3, M4A, 3GA, AAC, OGG, OGA, WAV, WMA, AMR, AWB, FLAC, MID, MIDI, XMF, MXMF, IMY, RTTTL, RTX, OTA, DSF, DFF.

    12. Video Playback format. MP4, M4V, 3GP, 3G2, WMV, ASF, AVI, FLV, MKV, WEBM

    13. TV Connection. Wireless: Smart View (Miracast 1080p at 30 fps, mirroring support available for devices supporting Miracast or Google Cast.) and

    Cable: supports DisplayPort over USB type-C. Supports video out when connecting via HDMI Adapter. (DisplayPort 4K 60 fps).

    14. Battery Capacity. The battery capacity of Galaxy S8 is 3000mAh while for Galaxy S8+ is 3500mAh.
